I. International Week of Arts Management

Dear colleagues,

The Department of Arts Management is very pleased to invite you as a lecturer to the I. International Week of Arts Management.

  • Do you want to share your knowledge with your colleagues from all around Europe?
  • Do you want to meet our curious students and lecture to them?
  • Do you want to promote your university and student and lecture exchanges?
  • Do you want to spend few days in one of the most beautiful city in the world and taste the cultural program we will prepare for you?

Who we are?

The Department of Arts Management operates at the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Economics in Prague (VŠE).
Although we belong to the youngest department (founded 2007) we have managed to build up one of the most dynamic department at the University providing both undergraduate (Bc. Mgr.) and postgraduate programme (Ph.D.).
We are proud that our lecturers belong to the most renowned experts in their fields. Especially we are pleased that the Deputy Head of the department is the former Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic.
We focus on all the domains linked to arts management ranging from marketing, management and cultural economics to public administration in the field of cultural affairs.
We are honoured that we became the frequent and trustable partner of the numerous public institutions, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic included, which address our department with various tasks and projects.

What is the goal of the I. International Week of Arts Management?

We want to connect the lecturers and the experts through discussions and lectures for our students. We hope that IWAM will promote the students and lectures exchanges and open the opportunities for an international scientific cooperation.

How is the programme financed?

Primarily, the programme is created upon the platform of ERASMUS+ which enables the mobility of academic staff among the partner universities. ERASMUS+ covers travel and accommodation costs and daily allowance. Just please ask your International office at your University.

What should I do to participate in the I. International Week of Arts Management?

Respecting the conditions of the ERASMUS+ exchanging programme, a lecturer has to lecture at least 8 academic hours (4 lectures). A participation in the Idea Kitchen where we will discuss our prospective cooperation can be considered as a part of lecturing.

  • Languages of lectures: English, Czech, Slovak

 

If you are interested please send us your academic bio and short abstract of your prospective lectures focused on Arts Management. Feel free to offer any kind of topic, especially welcomed are practicale ones and workshops.
