Animation of Cultural Heritage - 3AM399
The course of Cultural Heritage Animation is based on the extraordinary concentration and diversity of cultural heritage in our country and focuses on scientifically grounded approaches to its recovery. Learning outcomes of the course is to provide students with a synthetic view of the possibilities, methodology and limits of social application of cultural goods.
Economics of Arts and Culture, Cultural Capital - 3AM297
The course is based on the knowledge and skills acquired in courses Cultural Capital in Socio-Economic Development, Basics of Marketing and Art Marketing and Cultural Policy, National, Regional and Local Culture.
Cultural Geography - 3AM291
The course acquaints students with traditional themes of cultural geography and selected cultural regions of the Czech Republic. In comparison with contemporary administrative units it encourages a discussion of the possible use of their cultural and natural heritage for territorial development activities.
Creative Culture in Socio-Economic Development - 3AM397
The course provides students with knowledge concerning main fields of creative culture and cultural production and their integration in individual segments of economic and social life of society.
Cultural Politics, Local and Regional Culture - 3AM191
The course of propedeutic character provides basic information concerning roles and utilities of cultural heritage on local and regional levels and brings an overview of most important corresponding cultural terminology. Using administrative, social, economic and legal angles of view the course aims towards explanation of main features of cultural policy on local, regional and national levels.
Legislation and Administration in the Field of Culture and Historic Preservation - 3AM282
The course represents a common basis for subsequent courses focused on the animation of cultural heritage, particularly of cultural monuments and protected historic buildings and sites. The core of the course addresses the field of national immovable cultural heritage. It also acquaints students with the design and economics of a specific economic subject – the state-funded institution. Lectures focus on two individual fields, which are closely related in actual practice.
Management and Organization in the Field of Performing Arts - 3AM383
The aim of the course is to extend students’ previously acquired knowledge of creative culture to the field of performing arts. It seeks to apply their knowledge in the specifically oriented management of individual subjects in creative culture.
Creative Arts Production Management - 3AM493
The course provides students with general knowledge of elementary aspects of production management and presentation of works of creative culture, focusing particularly on the fields of theater, film, music, television and radio broadcasting, which are demanding with respect to technology and means of production. The course will primarily focus on the conditions in the Czech Republic with occasional comparison with the situation abroad. Students will learn about the specifics of productions in individual fields of art, about the process of preparation of artistic projects, about most common technologies, about the organization and stages of production and functions of individual employees. The aim is to qualify students in the field of distribution, presentation and exhibition of artworks in the market, which need to be considered from the initial stages of preparation to the finalization of the project.
Media Contexts of Culture - 3AM295
The course will present the cultural processes through media studies. Culture just as the other phenomenons seeking for the access and dominanation within public discourse employs the media for presentation and promotion. Furthermore the media employs culture as news resource subjected to the specific requirements. The course will focus on these requirements and therefore enables to understand the entire dynamics of media industry surrounding and creating cultural contents.
Sociology of Culture - 3AM182
The propaedeutic course provides students with an elementary context of the development of society, culture and their economic connotations. Students learn the main theoretical perspectives of culture. Based on general theories students learn to use key concepts related to social structure, group formation, and other topics related to culture. Seminars are dedicated to methodology and specific methods of social research.
Land Use, Real Estate Cadastre in Culture and Cultural Monument´s Care - 3AM294
The subject brings basic knowledge necessary for creation of professional view on spatial correlation of culture. It introduces the individual stages of the organization of the territory and the concepts of its development. It monitors the basic structures and processes that shape the territory and are a necessary starting point for the development of culture and defines the main political and organizational parameters of the spatial arrangement of modern society it represents a territorial and cadastral policy as an essential tool for maintaining cultural heritage and developing new cultural creation. After acquiring the basics of cadastral policy, the student acquires knowledge of the organizational and administrative framework of spatial planning and an overview of basic spatial planning documents. The aim of the course is to synthesize a view of the development of the area and open space for qualified solutions of specific development problems in urban and landscape environments. Students acquire the ability to apply a set of traditional knowledge, methods and tools to support territorial development in a new situation of developmental break towards the post-industrial society.
Music Management Basics - 3AM398
The basic insight into the music production and its use provides student with orientation in the area. The course includes lectures on current issues of musical performance and its management processes, tools for the dissemination of professional and non-professional products, information on the complex domain of art and provides students with understanding of the specifics particularly in terms of knowledge of practice and experience.
Geography of Culture and Cultural Regions - 3AM292
This course informs students about basic subjects of cultural geography and about selected cultural realities in Czech Republic. It presents summary of cultural, historical and natural potential of Czech Republic. This course informs about actual situation and potentional utility in future. By way of seminar essay, presentations and discussions the students can express their opiniens, concepts and recommendations for next development concrete territory.
Legislation on Culture and Cultural Monument Preservation - 3AM293
The course brings basic knowledge concerning legislation in field of culture on the Czech territory, of its’ genesis and current shape. The course takes aim to students’ proffesional orientation in legal enactments in field of culture enabling them qualified professional communication face to face experts in both legislation and praxis of culture and cultural monument preservation. Special attention is paid to the position of National Cultural Monument Instite and to the roles of non-profit organisations in culture.
Administration in the Field of Culture - 3AM396
The aim is to provide a basic knowledge of the structures, institutions and procedures in the field of culture and conservation, especially those in recovery and restoration of cultural monuments, as the adoption of appropriate examples and practical application of simulated projects in both tangible and intangible culture.
