Research & Development
The department of Arts Management is a leading Czech workplace providing research of cultural management and other related topics. Our students actively take part in the research activities, too. The research on our department is focused on two major areas.
Firstly, we aim to improve the system of financing and support of Czech cultural institutions and cultural heritage. The second area aspires to implement principles of modern economics to management of cultural institutions while improving their overall quality. All of these activities are reflected by an five year long, important project of researching the national cultural identity targeted at management and entrepreneurship in the area of culture. Other departments of our faculty are involved in this project as well.
Among the Czech leading institutions cooperating with our department are the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage Institute, ICOMOS (International COuncil on MOnuments and Sites), National Information and Consulting Centre for Culture (NIPOS) or National gallery and museum.
Recent Projects
The research orientation of the Department concentrates on two principal areas. First one is economy and management of cultural heritage, second one is economy and management of cultural organisations. We are delighted that we belong to the most respected departments in this field in the Czech Republic.
